The candidates for fire protection districts, parks and recreation districts and other elections give their input on the issues.Several special districts in Arapahoe County are holding elections May 6.
The Cunningham Fire Protection District is holding an election for three board of director seats for four-year terms. The candidates are Mark Lampert, Jeffery Tasker, Charlotte Faris, Patricia Shaver, Maria Fay, Nancy Cronk and Christopher Stufft.
The Cherry Creek Vista Park and Recreation District is asking for a mill levy increase of 1.8 mills that would generate additional property tax revenue of $114,286 per year.
The Smoky Hill Metropolitan District is holding an election for three board of directors for four-year terms. The candidates are J. Brandan Sackett, Russell L. Gibson, John Bryant and Lisa N.B. Hilton.
The Strasburg Fire Protection District No. 8 is holding board of directors elections, with the candidates being Robert K. Yaich, Donald Sherer, Steve Gural, Matthew Reay, Jerry Sir and Curtis D. Duryea.
